Don't blink or you'll miss Boston

Actually, we sat in Boston harbor for about 3 hours today. (See picture) We were told to wake up early to meet US immigration officials since this is technically our first US stop since embarking at Quebec. The process was messy and took so much longer than I thought it would. We finally gave up and left our spot in line to get breakfast. I figured they would call our names over the intercom system at some point when they realized we missed our appointed time, kinda like the employee did that time at K-Mart when I wandered away from my mom. (Mom, do you remember that??). Anyway, we had plenty of time after breakfast to get back in line and the strange little immigration man barely looked at my passport and said, "Thank you sir." Uh, I'm a female so maybe I need to have a second shot at my passport picture eh? After that was done, we were able to sit on the very top floor of this floating nursing home, oh I mean cruise ship and admire the Boston harbor. Jim and I agreed we need to return someday to spend more time here. After lunch we attended an art auction to watch some people make some very expensive mistakes. Like, twelve thousand dollar mistakes. Yikes! It was...fun? At least it killed an hour of our time. I also did a bit of laundry because we were running out of underthings. Since today and tomorrow are both sea days, I won't have much to say on the blog today. I did want to take the opportunity to show you some pictures of our room. We basically live in a closet and I'm looking forward to moving into our mini suite on Wednesday. We really haven't spent much time in the room so it's ok. Below you'll see the bed, and bathroom and well...that's it! Also, I get the giggles every time we are in the elevator and I see the little symbol of the man holding something while running. Jim says its to call for maintenance because the little man is running with a wrench. What the corn does he know, because it is CLEARLY a picture of a man holding a bone while chasing his dog. (Take a look at the picture below and you decide.) I can't quite figure out what it's doing in an elevator but it sure does make me smile. Our big plans for the rest of the day are to read, eat, sleep. In that order. We are both kind of curious about what the ship looks like at 3am so that's the big plan tonight. We'll go to bed at our normal time, then set an alarm to get up and walk around in pj's. Oh we are wild and crazy cruisin' fools, no? Until then, adios muchachos!
